The CPU (Processor) gets too hot. The fan of CPU moves very fast that it creates great noise. When I see the Hardware Monitor at Bios, I see that CPU temperature is more than 100 degree celcious. I don't understand why my CPU gets too much hot. Sometimes my computer gets sudden off. I think it's because of over temperature of CPU. The RPM of CPU fan is more than 4000. Why does the CPU become very hot ? It is not so always. Right now, the CPU is cool, the fan is at average speed. I use a Pentium 4 processor, MSI motherboard.

    Far, far too hot.
Yes, it's being shut down on over temperature.
It depends on the load on the CPU, but you have a serious cooling problem.

Have you dedusted the case recently? Are there any case fans and are they working ? Assuming a desktop as you do not say otherwise.

    BTW .....

We encourage all members to complete their System Specifications which help us to help you :)

On the basis that this is a desktop open up the case - with the computer powered down - and blow out all the accumulated dust with a can of compressed air. Look closely at the heatsink on the CPU - is it clogged with dust? If so loosen the dust with a wooden/plastic coctail stick or similar and blow it out.

Under no circumstances remove the heat sink from the CPU

Check all other case vents for blockages and clear. If the case has a front filter remove and clean out.

IF the CPU overheats when the cleaning has been completed it is likely that the thermal paste between the heat sink and the CPU requires replacement - this is not a job for the inexperienced.

Thank you very much for the help. To answer your questions, No, I recently didn't clean the case as well as there is no case fan. And I have completed the System Specifications.
But, before I do anything, I am not understanding what "Heat Sink" is. Is it the CPU fan ?

The heat sink is clamped to the CPU assembly with an interface of thermal paste to optimise the transfer of heat from the CPU to the heat sink. Generally a block of heavily finned aluminium - the fan is mounted to the heat sink in order to cool it by blowing cool air over it.
