[Active] Malware on my computer (Blue screen of death)

UPDATE: READ THE REPLY FOR NEW INFO ON MY PROBLEM

Hi there. I believe I have Malware on my laptop. I have to use safe mode when running this machine now because when I run it in normal mode, I either get the blue screen of death or the screen completely freezes.

I have used SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes. This is my third time today running Malware and my second time running SUPERAntiSpyware. Every time I scan, the programs find infected objects. I put them in quarantine and I rebooted my computer.

Some of the infected items are called: Adware.MyWebSearch, Trojan, and Backdoor.

While my computer is scanning now, are there any other things I should look into? I have the feeling my laptop will still not work correctly because I've already scanned it several times and it still does not function properly.

My laptop is Windows Vista Home Premium. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

I think I know what the problem is now...the dreaded rootkit.tdss. How do I get rid of it? It won't go away...that's what's causing all of the problems, and probably my blue screen of death!

The moderator can mark this as "resolved" now. After spending the whole day scanning my computer, my machine is now malware free. It would not help now by posting a logfile since my last two full scans from MalewareBytes came up with zero infections! ;)

In most cases, it doesn't work that way.
Malwarebytes log may be coming clean, but it doesn't guarantee your computer is malware free.
Surely, it's your computer and your decision.

Oh, well what should I do then? I don't have the blue screen anymore. I can run normal mode now, the first time since Thursday night. Perhaps there's more malware on my computer. How do I find it? What do you recommend?

You're running two antivirus programs and two firewalls: PC-cillin and McAfee, which is definitely not recommended.
Please, explain.

Which program would you like me to disable? I'll do it. I didn't even know that I had McAfee. I typed McAfee in search on my computer and I don't see it. I don't see it on my taskbar manager. When I went to add/remove a program, I did not see McAfee. I guess it runs behind the scenes a lot because I don't recall seeing the program coming up, no? Please let me know.

No problem here...
Run McAfee Consumer Product Removal Tool: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/McAfee-Consumer-Product-Removal-Tool.shtml

When done....

Please download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.

**Note: In the event you already have Combofix, this is a new version that I need you to download. It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**
1. Please, never rename Combofix unless instructed.
2. Close any open browsers.
3. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
• Very Important! Temporarily disable your anti-virus, script blocking and any anti-malware real-time protection before performing a scan. They can interfere with ComboFix or remove some of its embedded files which may cause "unpredictable results ".
• Click on this link to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive. If yours is not listed and you don't know how to disable it, please ask.
NOTE. If Combofix asks you to install Recovery Console, please allow it.
• Close any open browsers.
• WARNING: Combofix will disconnect your machine from the Internet as soon as it starts
• Please do not attempt to re-connect your machine back to the Internet until Combofix has completely finished.
• If there is no internet connection after running Combofix, then restart your computer to restore back your connection.
4. Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
5. When finished, it will produce a report for you.
6. Please post the "C:\ComboFix.txt" along with a new HijackThis log for further review.
**Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall**

Make sure, you re-enable your security programs, when you're done with Combofix.

DO NOT make any other changes to your computer (like installing programs, using other cleaning tools, etc.), until it's officially declared clean!!!

Download HijackThis:
http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/tools/security_tools/hijackthis/download
by clicking on Download HijackThis Installer
Install, and run it.
Post HijackTHis log.
Do NOT attempt to fix anything!

NOTE. If you're using Vista, right click on HijackThis, and click Run as Administrator
