Windows Vista will not shut down normally, must use safe mode to open. I was watching a YouTube post when the monitor suddenly went black. I tried to reboot but got a blue error screen " "" STOP: 0x0000016 (ox87474510, 0x00000000, 0x00000002). at the bottom of the screen it read, "Collecting data for crash dump," among other things. Does anyone have an idea of why this would happen and advise on a repair. Thanks.

    Arie,
That for your reply. I downloaded a driver (E11161_chipset_NVIDIA_15.18) and this cured the problem.
    Thanks again.

    I knew it would ;)

But wasn't sure if you had an Nvidia card, that's why I asked you to enter your System Specifications
