    Ok first of all,

    Printer: Epson Stylus C88+
    Remote Machine: Windows 2003 Server
    Local Machine: Vista Home Premium

    The problem,

We have an employee who lives out of state, and connects to us using Remote Desktop. He is able to get in just fine. For the longest time he was also able to print just fine. The old IT person set it up for him. Anyways, a few months ago, there was a issue and he is no longer to print using his local printer. Drivers are installed on his machine and on the 2003 server. I am consufed as to why he would not be able to print and would like some insight and maybe some help!

Under Local Resources Tab in RDC Options, he has printers enabled.

I forgot to mention that the printer is connected to his laptop VIA USB and has it connect to a 2nd machine, which is rarely used, VIA SERIAL.
    Thanks!

    Remote Desktop Printing

Microsoft's fix for redirecting DOT4 printers in a Remote Desktop
    session <http://support.microsoft.com/kb/302361> is not a cure-all. I
battled this problem for years and finally figured it out on my own, no
thanks to Microsoft. My configuration is a desktop PC running XP Home
SP3 with an HP LJ3015 printer on a DOT4 port connecting via Remote
Desktop to a Server system running Small Business Server 2003 SP2. I
was never able to print from the Server to my LJ3015. Here's how I was
finally able to fix it: While in a Remote Desktop session, I installed
the LJ3015 printer driver on the Server and then manually added my
printer to one of the redirected TS ports. Now whenever I connect, my
printer goes with me. This same routine also fixed a Vista-based
system that had the same problem with an HP LJ3390 in Remote Desktop to
    the same Server.
