IE8 RC1 and Final Version

    Generally how long after a Release Candidate is issued will the final version be released?

    Hi Mitchell. If you are talking about software in general then it depends on what program is being developed and when the company (Microsoft) is ready to release the final version of a program to the general public. As for Internet Explorer 8, I heard unofficially that its going to be released in the next week or two but I could be wrong.

    Thanks Evan, I was curious about IE8. Been using RC1 and was just wondering about the final version.

    There is unlikely to be any noticeable difference between RC1 and RTM.

    IE8 the RC1 or the finished version

    hi guys
    New too the windowsbbs so please be gentle with me :) I was thinking of downloading & installing IE8 RC1 but Iam not to sure what to do my gut says wait for the full & final version but i don't want something that is maybe going to be full of bugs anyone got any ideas

    FWIW I have been running IE 8 since the beta stage, now RC1 without major issues.

    IE8 can be uninstalled through Add/Remove Programs - under W - Windows Internet Explorer 8 RC1 - fools a few people who naturally look under E :)

    I have been using RC1 for a few weeks now and haven't had any problems. You can read the release notes here and decide for yourself. But, you may want to wait as Evan said the final is coming out soon.
