Keyboard Functions take a long time to load

    I have an HP Pavilion a670c (see my system specs at the left). The keyboard has hotkeys for the browser, mail, opening the cd/dvd drive, etc. But it takes a long time from boot for those functions to become available.

    Does anyone have any idea why? It's not a real problem just a annoyance.

    I doubt there's much you can do except streamline the overall boot process and remove any unnecessary apps from starting.
