Man my computer turned into some kind of virus machine with all of them everywhere! I'm a beginner at computers, but I do know a few things about them besides the color they come in and how to turn the screen on...

A couple days ago i logged into my computer as usual, nothing seemed to be going wrong, and then boom!.. all i see is my cool desktop background but nothing else.. i remembered ctrl + alt + delete and opened up the task manager.
For some reason I felt like typing in explorer.exe, and I didn't know why, but then everything was alright again!..

Today I came home, slept a little because I had a cold.. and then with a huge headache I managed to turn the computer on. I have XP, and they have profiles or accounts whatever listed and then you put the password in to log in.
I did log in, and then... no more desktop again!.. Felt like killing this virus dude whoever he was.. man already I had a bad day and this just made everythin worse.

I was smart enough to type in firefox in the task manager and then phew!.. I have hope!.. and then I found Windows BBS.. don't ask me how, it just popped into the computer..

But the real question is.. what do I do now?

It's like everything in my day is gone wrong no matter what I do..
    I have a feeling I won't get this fixed....

I'll appreciate the help much!

    Yeah!! Fixed the problem!!

Thanks to the people messaging on this site

    http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/86...-find-explorer

    " press Ctrl + Shift + Esc

then file new task, type regedit

    then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image Execution Options\

in this list there will be a entry explorer.exe right click on it and export it. then on the right hand side delete the "debugger" key.

Becareful regedit is dangerious if you aren't paying attention, always backup keys before you play with them "

    Welcome to WindowsBBS yocool5 :)

Explorer.exe is not a default subkey under the Image File Execution Options key, but is often used by malware, as suggested in the comments here, which also explains a bit about those keys/values. I'd recommend you read this then start a topic in the Malware and Virus Removal forum.
