I will be buying a new computer soon and will need to transfer personal files from the old machine to the new machine.

What is the best way to do this?

    Thanks

There's a nifty $50 device and software that will do it. (including email account info and mail)

Or you can network the two machines or get a flash drive...

    Thanks Steve,

Networking I suppose is cheapest and quickest. I thought about a flash drive - I "need" a new one anyway and this will give me reason to buy one:).
