My new Norton AV 2006, wouldn't install completely. So, I went to the add/remove to do so. But, in the Norton title, the remove button isn't there. How can I uninstall it to try to re-install Norton again?

You could try navigating this path. Start/Run/regedit/H_KEY_LOCAL MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft//Windows/CurrentVersion/Uninstall. I found mine among these numbers{C6FB6CF-609C-428E-876F-C83176C021B} so you will have to click on each one until you find the key named Norton Anti Virus 2006 then delete it. Hope this helps. Back up the registry first.

Have you tried to do a System Restore to a point before the failed install?

I haven't tried anything yet. Just called their tech support, and they want $29 to help their failed software install. Some support hey! Will try this evening.
    Thanks for the info...

If you go to norton's website, they have free online chat support. I did it a few times for a co-worker. It really helped!

I tried the "Live on-line Chat "! The person on the other end did not understand my English translation. That's their only free "tech Support "! I'm not very happy with there online service.

I will remove programs installed after the the restore date but not personal files. You will stilll have the program .exe files in your download folder.

OK now this isn't helping me at all. When I go to system restore, when it does bring up the restore window, it is just blank. I have two system, so I tried it on the other one. It works at the other computer! Now what? Must be a deeper problem with this computer. Any idea's?
