I have an unused/uninstalled OEM disk/license for MS Office 97 SBE. I am going to install Win XP Pro SP2 on my internet box after all these years, and I would like to know if Office 97 is compatible with XP Pro SP2.

If not are there patches available?

    Thanks

    Thanks,

Better to use the already paid for, insted of wasting it away. Of course I have later versions of the MS Office stuff on other boxes but the abilities of 97 are all that I really need for what I do. It worked fine in the past for me at the office. But not on XP Pro SP2

    Thanks for the info,

But I always use the administrator account, my computer is password protected and no one else uses it. I do have my OS and Apps Hard Drive in a tray, and when the wife wants to use the computer, she has her own drive and tray with her stuff on it.

But thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my post.
