Word 97 Spell checker not working in Xp on non admin account

    I am running word 97 on a windows XP machine and the spell checker will work okay on my administrator account but when my wife logs in on her account ( non admin ) she finds she cannot use the spell checker and on looking in Tools / Options the spelling and Grammar tab is greyed out.

    alboy--Is this something new? Did she install some new soft/hardware recently? If so, perhaps a system restore?
    I am new to WinXP, but a much simpler thought is that your wife's user account does not have Office in it.
    I presume you are talking about spell checker within Office, not for Outlook Express.
