Hi, I am using Win XP Pro and I have 3 mail settings with me in my OE, and I found that I couln't send mail from my OE with the diffrent mail provider (except the default).B4 this I was using Win ME with OE 6.0 as well, and it seems that this problem doesn't exist by the time.

    Singse,

Please confirm that you have a Dial UP Networking Connection for each ISP - these will be listed in Control Panel > Network Connections and an OE account set up for each of these connections.

Yes, I have all the dial up networking, but what I meant was could I log in with "A" ISP, but send mail with "B" ISP ( of course the email a/c is under "B" ISP) .TQ

“but what I meant was could I log in with "A" ISP, but send mail with "B" ISPâ€

Most ISP’s won’t allow this. You could spam the world with “A†but it’d look like it came from “B†and “B†would be blamed for it….

I have my home Comcast account setup at the office. I can receive mail with no problems. Have to use the Office’s SMTP setting in order to reply or send from this account.

singse--You should be able to send email through another ISP (assuming you have an account with it) by setting up a new Identity.

However, this procedure means you will be sending the mail through the second ISP, not the existing one, as Steve R Jones has said.

Most of time, you cannot access an ISP's SMTP server from another ISP.

When you sending out emails, you should only use the smtp server of the ISP you are connecting to. It does not matter what email address you are using.
For example, you are now connecting ISP A.com, then when sending emails using an address with ISP B, set the smtp server for the email address yourname@b.com to
stmp.a.com (or some thing similar, depends on the ISP).
Then you will be able to send out emails.
