Not Responding

I'm still having the same problem...
This is really bugging me out.. arg...
I would format the comp but i have way too many things I wanna keep.. I wont' be able to back it up in mere cd or two..
Ahhh maybe I should borrow a winxp cd and do system restore/repair?

I suggest uninstalling Kazaa even the light version and any programs you have installed since the problems started to, if you need a filesharring program we can link you to several (free) safer alternatives
make a new log with all the programs you normaly have running Please.

Did you take the suggestin to install eTrust EZ Armor Security Suite from Computer Associates ? and ran a full scan ?

I've been experiencing much the same problem as you.
I got around it with System restore.
I just went back a couple of days and now everything is fine.
The problem is probably associated with a software conflict fro something you've downloaded.

Nothing to lose, you can always come back to your current settings .

The problem began way before the kazaa was installed

I tried the system restore thing, but during one of the instructions I was told to do, I disabled the system restore thing at one point, so it won't go back to state before that...

Ah.. maybe I should get winxp cd somewhere and do repair from that?

 

Try System File Check first, before an XP repair.
Start > Run > cmd
sfc /scannow
you'll need your XP cd.

sfc - system file checker, retrieves the correct version of the file from %Systemroot%\System32\Dllcache or the Windows installation source files, and then replaces the incorrect file.

If you want to see what was replaced, right click My Computer > manage, expand event viewer > system.

Then try to repair IE from the link I posted above, if that doesn't work.
