Newbie to forum. Have no clue what I am doing.
My problem: Overlapping blank drop down windows poping up on my screen frequently. Header on the window is: C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe
I Googled and everything steered me to RegCure. Scan tells me I have 1085 errors. I am skeptical and gunshy about messing with the registry of my computer.
Should I use RegCure or is there another way to get rid of the Windoes32 thing.

    Thanks, The OLD one

Don't use Reg Cure. Most of that stuff is hype and can get you into more trouble then you can get out of.
Do a Disc Cleanup with All the boxes checked and see what happens. Also maybe do a Defrag. I use a (FREE) program on my PC called CCleaner. It has a Reg cleanup tool and I have used it probably 50 times on each of my PC's and no problems what so ever. It will make a backup for you. I usually just keep the newest one and delete the old one.

Thanks for the advice but I have already done all that you suggested. I use **** Cleaner, Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware and AVG. None of these have helped. Defrag also did nothing.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

I suggest you head over to the Malware & Virus Removal forum and .....

Read this as indicated at the head of the forum and post the logs requested in a new thread in that forum.
