My computer is infected with The Windows Antivirus Pro.

    My question is:

I thought there was a way to selectively boot. I know how to do it in the Task Mgr but the virus has made it so none of my .exe files work. I thought you may be able to selectively boot from a command line. (I am running Windows XP pro)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Spencer

Hi, spencer. Welcome to Windows BBS! :)

Your best bet for getting rid of the malware is to carefully read and follow the directions in this post and then paste the appropriate logs in the Malware and Virus Removal Forum.

If you would rather go "on your own" regarding removing that particular malware, then have a look at the following link.

Keep in mind, malware is like cockroaches. If see one, then there are likely others lurking about. Hence, I recommend you seek expert assistance as I first mentioned.

At the very least, I suggest you post your DDS logs in our Malware and Virus Removal Forum after you have executed the instructions at Bleeping Computer. Post details about what you have already done in your attempts to eradicate any malware.
