I have had IE6 installed on my Dell Latitude D600 with no problems other than every website says my browser is unsupported. I finally relented and installed IE7. It loads and operates fine. But if I try to open any folders or operate any programs while I have IE7 operating at the same time, it just takes forever. I never had this problem with IE6.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated (before I dump IE7).

    Thanks

Hi Don1410, Welcome to Windowsbbs! :)

Since you are running Internet Explorer 7 I would recommend that you install Internet Explorer 8.

Once IE8 is installed see if the problem remains. If IE8 is still slow then try starting IE8 with no add-ons.

    Click Start< All Programs< Accessories< System Tools< Internet Explorer (no add-ons)

If that resolves the issue then disable all add-ons and enable each add-on one by one, testing IE each time until the culprit is found.

Also please enter your System Details. It helps us in answering your questions.

Note: A common error is to forget to show your System Details in your profile:

Make sure to do the above when entering your System Details, thanks.
