Hi bobm735. Tap132.dll appears to be a windows file but what it does I do not know.

Do you have a Windows Vista DVD? Try running the SFC command and see if the file gets repaired. Click Start< All Programs< Accessories< Right click Command Prompt and click run as administrator. When the command prompt window opens type sfc /scannow and hit enter. Let the process run. After SFC finishes reboot the computer and let me know if the file as been repaired or not.

The missing tap132.dll error is caused by malware/virus. I woud suggest you start a new thread in the Malware & Virus forum.
Please read the instruction and post the logs as requested.

I have searched for more information. Time and time again computer users have received the error message that this file is missing and it seems to only occur when an internet connection is made. It's only purpose seems to be to irritate the person using the computer and blocking internet use. That's not to say it isn't causing other problems. It seems to have been around for at least 5 years.

The experts in the Malware and virus forum will help you to get rid of this irritating bug.
