I am trying to re-install the above mentioned webcam. I have downloaded the driver and when running it comes up with the error message "Cannot find c:\user\......\LifeCamSetup\setupstb.exe. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again "

Any suggestions how I can get this working?

Welcome to the boards. First question that I have for you is what version of Windows are you using? Do you know if it is even compatable with the version you are using?

Please go to User CP near the top left of this page and fill out your System Specs. Then be sure to save them.

Hi shakeriou1, Welcome to Windowsbbs! :)

What Operating System are you using?

Have you downloaded the setup file for the driver and saved it to the desktop and then tried running it from there?

Also please enter your System Details. It helps us in answering your questions.

Note: A common error is to forget to show your System Details in your profile:

Make sure to do the above when entering your System Details, thanks.

EDIT: You beat me to it Bill. :D

Since you are using Windows 7 have you tried right clicking on the setup file and selecting Run As Administrator?

Just a little note - the CD MS Lifecam 3.0 which accompanied my VX2000 states the need to install the Software before connecting the camera!!!
I had no trouble with mine. Cheers Neil.:D

I use the same webcam on windows 7. I have the instructions in front of me, they are:
    1 Install the software
2 Plug the webcam into a powered USB port
3 Position the webcam on a flat surface, or hang it from a flat monitor
4 Start> All Programs > Microsoft Life Cam > LifeCam Help.

Troubleshooting:1) Ensure the software is installed. 2) Ensure the USB port is powered. 3) Try a different USB port directly on the computer.
