I keep getting icons showing up on the desktop that contain a text file describing the subject error. What the hell do they mean?

As far as I can tell, my system is running just fine. I tried to report the error as suggested in the text and got tangled up in all kinds of ****.

I'm just dumping them into the recycle bin. Should I be concerned? The latest one was titled hs_err_pid3404 and is about the 10th I've received in the last couple of months.

The text says the crash occurred "outside the Java virtual machine in native code ". Can anyone explain this weird phenomenon? From my point of view, Java is a nothing program. I have no idea what it's supposed to do and when it "crashes ", I don't see any effects.

PLEASE go to User CP and fill out your information. It is located near the top left of this page. Guessing for an answer would be kind of hard as different versions of Windows usually require different answers.

    Following from MrBill's post...

We encourage all members to enter their system details, it could help resolving this and any future issues you may have.

Personally though, if Java is a "nothing program" just remove it.

I have updated my system information. I apologise for not having done it when I first joined the group.

Incidentally, those Java messages have stopped, so I'll mark this thread "resolved ".

When I go to "Edit System Specs" it shows what I put in there. I saved changes again, even though I didn't make any this time.
