Who uses what in terms of getting our Internets displayed fast, without errors, without crashes, features, Flash stable, and whatever else comes to mind. ;)

I'm using Firefox, and sometimes Safari for Windows. What is Safari's secret? It's so FAST! I also check out the new Google Chrome builds and liking Chrome more and more. Safari uses the chrome engine, too, doesn't it?

    Your turn. :)

FF for me, addons for anything you can think of (FF has just nipped ben the kitchen to make me a cuppa :)). I'm comfortable with it and see no need to change.

I use these browsers (in order of frequency)
    Firefox
    IE8
    Chrome

I don't use Safari at all. Both Safari and Chrome use the Webkit rendering engine.

Opera is King and sorely under-estimated. Almost no add-ons needed.

Opera for the majority of sites I visit and IE8 for a few sites that are not compatible with Opera.

Because there are sites that do not support other browsers.
But lately I'm using a lot of chrome, simple is good for surfing.
And when I want functions and supplements I pass firefox.

Mozilla Firefox. It's faster (than Internet Exlorer(IE)) , more secure (again, IE), and more customizable.

99% of the Websites I've visited use a format that supports Firefox. I have never used Opera or any of the others, but I can only assume that the lower user base would lead to increased formatting complications (text not fitting on screen, plug-ins not working, etc)
Mozilla Firefox is very user friendly..

Never assume. It can make an ass out of U and me :). Try it and you may be surprised. At the very least, you will be able to give first hand experience, goor or bad.

    IE 6
Because I recently reinstalled Win XP. It does everything I need, and seems to be faster than IE 7 before reinstall. I also prefer the drop down menus, and large back, forward, refresh etc. buttons on the upper edge. I did not like the tiny "buttons" of IE 7.
I know that the security is an issue, but how serious? I have been reading articles criticizing IE 6, and it feels like some are saying it is nearly worse than all the previous versions of IE combined!
To avoid malware I have set the IE´s security settings to very restrictive level, except for some trusted sites, as instructed at www.spywarewarrior.com/uiuc/btw/ie/ie-opts.htm and try to avoid possibly suspicious sites.
Spybot S&D is still compatible even with several older versions of IE. In addition, I am only running as administrator when I need to do something like install an application etc. I wonder how big the security risk is with these precautions?
Occasionally, when using my Win95 (OSR1) machine I will use IE 2, just for the sake of nostalgia. Surprisingly, there are still some websites that can be viewed with IE 2. They certainly look "different" than with IE 6 or 7, but I think that if a browser displays all the information on the website, then it is doing it´s job.
I noticed that Mitchellcooley´s first browser was Mosaic, that definitely is a legendary piece of information superhighway´s history. I also tried it (v.2.1.1.) on my Win95 box, unfortunately, I could not make it work. At the moment it started to display a web-page it always crashed, and Windows reported about some illegal operation. :(

SeaMonkey. Years ago I used Netscape and was comfortable with it, so when it passed into history I shifted to its successor suite, SeaMonkey. IE8, of course, is what I have to use to download MS updates, but apart from that my browser and e-mail app are SM.

Are you my mini me? <3 :)

And agreed. Assumptions are the mother of all motherf...well, never mind.

I remember the times when IE was in the shadows of Netscape Navigator, while eventually taking over as the de-facto browser. I tried to like IE, but never really did. I've used Firefox with great success, and I have Firefox 3.6 installed both on my Windows 7 and Mac OS X platforms. I have yet to experience Mozilla's mobile browser, Fennec (how cute is that!). Safari on the iPhone is the best mobile browsing experience and I've tried them all (except Nokia's native browser). Opera Mini works great on the BlackBerry's.

Opera (10.50) is my default browser, in fact Opera has been my default for about 18 months now. I've liked it ever since I switched from Firefox. In my opinion Opera is just the best & safest browser.

I like K-Meleon & SRWare Iron as well, both are fast & K-Meleon is quite customisable. Both have excellent inbuilt adblockers. The K-Meleon 'Privacy Bar' also contains a flashblocker.

It's good to have choices. Especially if an upgrade goes a bit weird. Opera 10.50 seems the best version yet! ;)

Chrome. I use only one addon (LastPass) and with the enhanced password management from that extension I really don't need any other browser. Very fast and simple.
