Resolved When I start maintenance programs something kills it

I have a computer here running XP Home SP3. I have downloaded MalwareBytes, SpyBot, Hi Jack This and Bit Defender Internet Security and tried to run them all in both regular and safe mode. Each time I start the program it runs for about 8-10 seconds and quits/closes. When I attempt to restart the program I get an error

I am at a loss here as to why this might be happening but I suspect that there is some sort of virus or the like taking control

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Have you managed to install Malwarebytes yet?

If it won't install try renaming the file jimmy.exe or anything simple like that.

Try running it again after.

If it then installs you may have to rename the program file.

Let me know if you can get it to install.

I was able to install and update it but the process closes within 5 seconds of launching
