I will be away for a week or so. The CPU Fan failed on my PC. Its under warranty so I'm going to let them fix it - the tech said it would be about a week.

Thanks Evan. It was returned last night in good working order. Putting in a patio so thougnht I could take a quick break and hook it up.

I know there are those here who think I should have changed the CPU Fan myself, but I believe in warranty's. If everyone fixed their own product while under warranty the manufacturer would never be alerted of problems with components.

The only thing bad about it was it took nearly two weeks - but that's the price I pay.

Speaking of warranties...I found out that I had an extended warranty on my SUV that I either didn't know I had or forgot I had it...I got about $1,200.00 worth of work done for the $50 deductable. Warranty also covered the rental car.

Dealership said the dealship I bought it from was notorious for sneaing the warranty in...Worked out ok this time...Will pay more attention next time.

Although you may not have wanted the extended warranty when you bought the SUV.....kudos to the sneaky dealership.:)

My wife asked for the extended warranty when she bought her Hyundai. It kicks in next year. No warranty work yet so it might have been worth the extra bucks. We'll see.

    Welcome back :)

I wouldn't be able to be without my PC for that long.... But then again, I'm never running the stock fan either...

Oh, believe me, it wasn't a picnic....having to do my banking at the bank or at the library, checking my email at the library....

but I live on principle, I just wish I had bought the in-home warranty - hindsight.

When the warranty expires I have lots of plans for this machine.

It's good to be back on-line at any rate.
