Computer freezes when clicking on a link

    I have windows XP. Whenever I get an e-mail with a link within the e-mail OR when I go to a website that has a link to click on my computer freezes and I have to control/alt/delete to get out of it. Suggestions?

    I can't read "this post" because it is a link. When I click on a link within an e-mail, my computer freezes and I must control/alt/delete to get out of it.
    From past problems, I did print off the combofix problem sheet; however, I don't know where to download combofix now.

    I am sorry. I am a novice beginner computer person and my computer keeps freezing up. When I click on malware to post it freezes up (hence my need for help). Hope I didn't offend anyone else by posting it here.
