Unable to log in after installing...

    FireWire card. Can anyone please tell me what to do to overcome this? Thank you very much in advance.

    If you have a system restore point prior to installing the Firewire card, restore the system to that point AFTER removing the offending card. Restore from Safemode (F8 during BIOS boot) if you can't log in as another user.

    If you get to this point, force a restore point and try the card in another PCI slot. If it has its own drivers (not XP default drivers) see if you can load the drivers, after checking that they are the latest available and XP compliant. Now install the card and let XP find it.
