    Hi,

The below images keep popping up about 4 or 5 times a day, perhaps more. Any ideas what may be causing it?

It appears that the remoting_host.exe has to do with remote desktop control with the Chrome browser

    http://systemexplorer.net/file-database/file/remoting_host-exe

Maybe consider uninstalling Chrome and make sure you have remote assistance/remote desktop turned OFF in system properties.

Hi, I uninstalled Google Chrome a while back.

I do however have TeamViewer installed and use it regurlarly, could it be that?

well, according to the dump file you provided, remoting_host is one of the offenders)

Do a file search for remoting_host on your computer

    http://www.shouldiblockit.com/remoting_host.exe-35254.aspx

And yes, TeamViewer is another RDP type remote connection program (rdp= remote desktop)

First, I would disable remote connections in your system properties

    Right click on My Computer

    Left Click on properites

    Left click on remote

If check boxes are filled, clear them

Problem should be mitigated. At this time, I would check and make sure Chrome is uninstalled and it's extensions such as Remoting. It appears that the default program for remote desktop might be your Chrome RDP program.

Teamviewer 9 may be fine for you as you PC is different than the other one. They need to find out what is going on. Not saying that Teamviewer is bad, but they have a problem on their PC and trying to find out why.

You were right, I found Chrome Remote Desktop and have just uninstalled it. Hopefully that stops it but I'll let you know either way..... :)

lj50 Never used it before. Can't say for sure. I was referring to the OP as they didn't use that.

Did you shut off remote assistance? I would recommend that

If I shut off Remote Assistance will that affect my TeamViewer? If Yes, I suppose I could turn it back on for the short times I use it?

Up to now, the problem still exists.....

    ?

I apologize, I cant off any other solutions. If shutting off remote assistance clears your error, i would shut it off. But the dump clearly shows the chrome file causing the error.

    Good luck

Hi guys and thanks to all for your help.

I've done what you advised and used **** Cleaner to clean out the useless Registry items and so far (touches wood!!) it hasn't occurred again so I think I'll leave it at that!

    Thanks again...
