Yesterday i took delivery of Asus N90SV-UZ0146 enormous Notebook.
After charging the battery and switching on, Microsoft greets you with Vista Home Premium Setup Screen, The first task is the Ease of Acess select and move on. That is the problem. I make my selections, click APPLY and the CANCEL option is highted and progess stops. If I make my selections and click OK the selection box disapears but the NEXT option remains greyed out and again progress is halted.
I would really appreciate the missing information that gets me to the next step. PLEASE.
(The Ease of Access selection box is an all talking show and I have heard enough) ;) Thank You in anticepation of a solution.

    Thanks, Trevor, South Australia

Thanks Broni - It is Saturday here and both Asus and Microsofts' Phone Support are strictly Monday to Friday - returning it is a costly excercise I can't effect until next week either, as a last resort. I thought there was a chance that someone would *know* and I would be able to have it running before Monday.

Is there a "Save" button in this dialog? I had a similar problem with a Toshiba yesterday and fixed it that way (clicking on Save rather than on Apply).

Thank you for you contribution usasma There is just OK, CANCEL and APPLY - But in trying it again an hour or so ago I saw there is a small icon in the top right of the screen with the language option on it. There is a minimise option _ but clicking that does nothing either. I can reduce its size, so now I am wondering if this has to be minimised first - I can't find a SAVE option there either, but now you have mentioned it I will look further on it and into it. It seems more rational that you would save it befor minimising it, but I cant see that is really has language options, so maybe it was saved on original installation. At what level of distribution would the OS have been installed. I can contact the retailer tomorrow, but not sure how good his own English is.
Sorry I have been thinking on the keys here.

    Problem Solved
While talking to Asus Support, I clicked the button to get the first setup task up, the all talking Ease of Use box and low and behold the NEXT icon on the cental box turned from grey to black. I left the Ease of Use box up and talking until I had completed the setup and then got rid of it.
Explaination Well this monster notebook has an 18.4" screen and it was the first time I was back far enough from it to see it all in one gaze.
Hope it might help someone else, thank you, Trevor
