I did a new install of windows 7. I created a admin account, and a 'guest' account.

I have used the 'guest' account for a while, but I can't save documents. I want to change my Guest Account to a Standard User.

I created new "guest" Account, but can't change the original Guest to standard.

Windows will only let me change it to Administrator. Some of the settings I see on the internet I don't have.

    What do I do?

    Thank you,
    Chris.

The Guest account, like Administrator account, is a special account in Windows. Don't mess around with it. Create a new account for yourself.

Hi Chris. I would just turn off the Guest account and then create a new user account and make it a standard user account.

The purpose is not to lose my setup I've had for a few months. It's not supposed to be this difficult, Windows makes it easy.

I had to create another account and lose all my stuff. Thank you for trying.

What stuff did you loose ? All the stuff is there, you just have to copy the files to your new user.
