You almost lost me there until I did a wiki search for the meaning.

I also didn't realize NZ was so close to the International Date Line.

There's something in that saying - "You learn something new every day "
I believe the day I stop learning - is the day they can bury me. Neil.

Which is based on Unix ... which is what both Apple and Google base their operating systems on as well. UNIX was literally a gift to the industry from Bell Labs and Novell.

Simplified history of Unix-like operating systems.

Linux shares similar architecture and concepts (as part of the POSIX standard) but does not share non-free source code with the original Unix or MINIX.

Usually my Black 2006 Lincoln Mark LT Pickup (with ~75,000 miles).

Ford paint buffs out real nice.

In my earlier days, I used to buff with a wool bonnet mounted on a rotary tool, but the best results I ever obtained was with a sponge pad mounted on a random orbit polisher. Not the cheapo variety seen in the big box stores, but the professional dual-action power polishers.

Product (chemical) selection plays a big part too. I use products (cleaner & cleaner polishes) that have to be removed before they dry. The only product I allow to dry is a final step wax.

    Thanks, Doc!

Jobs like the ones I posted above took at least 8 to 10 hours of hard work. Age has caught up with me somewhat, so I don't detail as much as I used to.
