I am not sure as to what you mean. Reading when Regedit is opened at start and "gmail" is typed under "Find ".

    Computer\HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-3440926200-1968458410-232341830-1000\Software\Microsoft\WindowsLiveMail\PerPassport\Settings\464740245\HTTP\Http Unallowable Domain\00000002

    lj50, it is shown Virginmedia.com (click icon)>
    Inbox.
    Sent items.
    Junk E-mail.
    Deleted Items.
[Gmail]. and it is the only place it is shown. Opening WLM : Virginmedia.com>Accounts no reference found relating to Gmail.

My wife is a complete none computer user or uses the Internet. I am the only user of this computer and all errors arising are solely caused by myself. I just can not understand as to how gmail.com is installed in this way.

Gmail references in the Registry as mentioned earlier. Can entries be deleted or is this too drastic, causing other trouble and not solve problem? Gmail delete, amount of e-mails shown is growing each day.

Yes they can be. First back up or create a restore point. If you navigate to the key DOMStorage it will show you what websites you visited and the amount of times each was accessed you can delete these entries. Under the key Total. Modify the default entry from Hexadecimal to Decimal change the value to zero(0) click OK. That will clear the overall total of all the websites visited. Navigate to this key. H_KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\LowRegistry\DOMStorage. I hope this helps.

lj50, I carried out suggestion made. Unfortunately, gmail and all its entries remain current and still increasing in numbers. Deleting appears to have no effect.

Deleting e-mails in my Virginmadia.com address I notice all gmail.com address mail are also shown and these emails refuse to be deleted permanently.
In WLM accounts trying to delete [gmail], caption shows "Imap server couldn't delete your folder. Update your folder ", this step is not available in this instance.

Did you read that Virgin Mail is switching over to GMail. Virgin Media Switches to Gmail Sorry it's opening in the middle of the page but you can scroll back up to the top.

I certainly know nothing about this, rather nasty way to treat customers. I started off with Blueyonder and without any warning just became Virginmedia. Only reason staying with Virgin is that no limit exists with downloads, though I had a letter from them that I use the service extra well for the monthly payment. Only recently has the download speed improved from 4kb to 1Mb and slightly better now. Reasons for the low download rate from them, I am sure would fill a large book.
Is error experienced due to Virginmedia practise of sneaking in gmail - mail is now several screen fulls, increasing and no way to delete.

There's got to be a way. Do you use the Trashcan/Bin to permanently delete the emails and can the Gmail messages be moved there? Deleting Emails from Virgin Mail In my post #32 click on the Google link. Maybe reading some of the articles listed you'll find something that will lead you in the right direction.

If Virgin Media has transferred your mail account to Gmail, they should be able to provide account details, such as username and password. With those you should be able to login directly to Gmail and delete the messages from the source.

You could try your "original" username and password with Virgin Media at Gmail.

Deleting e-mails are carried out OK, but appear under the Gmail icon and remain steadfast. Supposed deleted mail, current to August 2015.
Christer: there is noreference that Virgin has done so or have I been notified. There is no reference of my having an account with Gmail, user name or password as I have not applied an account for Gmail. Just an active Gmail icon (just appeared in WLM).
