    Hi help
I have a desktop running win 7, indication of its age. Recently during POST two short beeps sounded. There are some white on
black text. If I press Enter Win 7 can started perfectly.
What's are the probable issues. is 64k parity of RAM the most likely culprit. What can be done to pin point the error. Appreciate any advice

You should be able to see the Name of the BIOS..... Use it to search -> Beep codes for _________________

The desktop is a Lenovo, according to its documentation 2 short beep is a POST error, it say follow the instructions. I follow it and it boot ok but reoccur the next reboot. I am unable to fully understand the errors & fix it.
    2 TCG errors stated
    MA Driver function call failed
    TPM Initialization failed

FuzMic, you are running Win7 in a comp which may not be compatible with W11 requirements.
Your Profile shows a comp which won't be compatible. I have no idea what age your Lenovo is or what it's CPU is.
I believe MS are strongly advising computer users to make the change to the newer OS. (via updates).
TPM 2.0 is a necessity for W11. Your Win7 comp may not have a CPU with TPM 2.0 ability.
MS have published a list of approved Branded CPU's and you should check this.
Have you visited Lenovo web site to check the "Beep" code for your comp?

You need to clarify the first message and the 2nd message suggests that the TPM may need to be set in BIOS.
Lenovo would be my point of call for this info.

Finally the truth is out why the 2 beeps.
The battery was failing. Once i change to a fresh battery, everything back to the normal start. I should have thought so & not running into a frantic search for solution. Cheers to time and reflection.

This was your CMOS battery -- just for the benefit of viewers. Thanks for the update.
