    ... just re-installed updated WIN 7 OS (to WIN 7 Pro)... all ops look fine except for: CAN'T CONNECT TO INTERNET, EXCEPT BY ETHERNET CABLE!!.. using Gateway LT2030 Netbook... tried numerous recommendations to NO AVAIL!! ... one alert I saw stated '... missing Network Controller...' tried installing via various sites, NO JOY!... (Gateway no help)... any ideas??? tx

    There is no gateway lt2030, it's either a lt20 or a lt30.

    The lt20 has no drivers for windows 7, only xp. If your netbook is a lt20, try the wifi drivers for the lt30. There are 3 possible drivers, depending on the wifi card in your netbook.

    TonyT.... tx for response, but, Gateway Netbook LT2030 came with WIN 7 Starter installed...... will try your suggestion rel to LT30 anyway... let you know outcome... tx

    Here's the Gateway site for drivers:

    See the screenshot of LT Netbooks. They don't list a LT2030 model. Nor does their search yield a LT2030. Try searching there using your netbook serial #.

    They used to make an LT2030u netbook with an Intel Atom CPU & chipset. Chance are your wifi adapter is an Intel. If cannot find the drivers at the Gateway site then go to Intel's site & use their ID utility to list the hardware and the needed drivers.

    .... kudos to TonyT.... downloaded Intel Chipset S/W per T2 recommendation, & JOY!! ... netbook back to normal.... ' molte grazie'.... Al C
