Impact of defrag command on SSD?

    As I said: RAW data. 600 writes increase is 18.75 Gb in just 45 minutes after starting the PC and doing nothing.

    Well, I don't have the expertise to challenge your facts but I think you should report your findings to MS and see what they say. Because actually defragging file segments should not occur on an SSD, and according to MS, it does not.

    When idle is when I would expect trimming (or defragging HDs) to occur.

    I did seek contact with someone that could help or provide info before, but even as an MVP I did not get a response.

    Trimming occurs on a schedule: once every 28 days.

    Not really surprised there. Being an MVP opens many doors, but I too have found many just lead to empty rooms.
