Hard Drive Reads Slow @ 3.7MB/s

    Well, there is more, because of some other strange drive behavior, ( On Boot, S.M.A.R.T reported imminent drive failure, :eek: this drive) went to Seagate site, now I find out that their drive requires two jumpers if slave drive is CD drive. One on first pins, one on 3rd pins. Of course, I had only one jumper set on master, with first pins only, being ignorant of the fact that that's ok for master and slave HDDs, but not for Master HDD and Slave CD. This is not clear from markings on drive. :confused: But for now, I guess all OK, until I learn of some other blunder I made. :eek:
