    A belated thanks, Rockit and Zander!
    Yes, I'm using Windows ME, and it looks like this is another one of those WinME glitches.
    Oh well, the bottom line is that even with having to click out of the error message each time, it's still WAY faster to open a document with this program than it is with Acrobat - so I'll live with the "inconvenience" of the error message! :)
