Company Out of Buisness, Anyway to get a "Gateway?"

I have two different Grace Digital Radios. The company went out of business and another company bought them.
When I go to a station it says, "no gateway" I called support and was told my two radios are not supported by the new company.

Before I throw away two nice, expensive internet radios, is there anything I can do to make them connect to the radio stations?

When I go to a station in a computer I don't need their gateway. How do they control that? (not a legal expiation, but hardware/software if that make sence) For someone who doesn't know, can you give me a easy to understand explanation of the issues?
