Address Bar will take me to sites

Hi,
For some reason my address bar has stopped working. I will type in the site address & it will not go to it. I can use Google & my saved favorites to get where I want to go, but not my address bar. Any ideas?

sevander--Address bar will or will not take me to sites? Are you being redirected to some site you do not want? Or just a blank screen?
Are you getting any error messages?

My address bar will NOT take me to sites...

Sorry...I was rushing out the door when I posted it. What's happening is this: I will type in a web address such as www.xyz.com & hit enter or click go and it will not move off of my default home page. I'm not trying to search through it. I'm just trying to go to a specific web address that I have memorized or am checking out. My current default home page is eBay. I noticed that there is a little eBay icon all the way to the left on the address bar that did not used to be there. I clicked on it & the screen just froze. Any ideas?

sevander--In addition to the links I posted in my first post, you might want to click IE Tools|Internet Options|Advanced tab|under the section "Search from the Address bar" is the box next to "Do not Search from the Address bar" checked? If so, uncheck it|Apply.
