While trying to get help for my car GP system from Navman.com.au which is a genuine company I have mistakenly gone to a hacking copy site which looked very much like the genuine one.
A pop up chat box asked for my problem details and told me that a agent will phone me.
Because of the Covan 19 problems world wide I did not think that this was a strange request, only that they must be working from home so I agreed access to my pc.
The agent then showed me a page which listed that a lot of programs were closed down and told me that a hacker had accessed my system.
For a cost they would fix the problem.
They remotely worked on my pc and downloaded a program called Webroot and also one called advanced IP scanner which has picked up all of my other laptops and mobile phone connected to the WI FI on my modem.
Because they gave me a discount when I complained about the cost of their service I became suspicious and contacted Webroot giving them the serial number on my copy. This is their reply. "Thank you for providing logs. We found that Webroot on your system is activated with 4CECONLN8472856A44F8.
This appears be a fraudulent key code because it's been activated almost 10 separate times on other systems. It also appears to be tied to an email address that is not yours".
My question is, should I delete Webroot and also the advanced IP scanner from my pc? can anyone please help me check my system to see if I am unknowingly being hacked ?
The pc is running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.
    Thank you,
    Jerry
