I have a compaq nx5000 laptop with Windows XP.When I initially bought the laptop, bluetooth was installed on it. But my system crashed after few years of use and I had to get my system reformatted. I took somebody's help for formatting . But now when I see , I have no bluetooth option for me on my laptop.Do I need to reinstall a bluetooth driver and then , bluetooth software. If so, what are the versions or what specifications of the two do I need, I 'm not aware of.Also, I want to know if I can get this for free on the net or do I need to buy it from somehwhere.

Bluetooth is a wireless connection so no cables are necessary.

I do not use mobile devices - not even a mobile phone :), so difficult for me to advise.

Good chance your computer is infected with Malware.

Read this post, then post the requested log(s) in the Malware and Virus Removal forum.

the create shortcut thing could not work on my system PeteC..there is some bug in my system which I would need to fix I think before I'll be able to get a bluetooth installed properly.. I think I should havea look at the posts related to malware's which Arie has suggested and then may be get back to the links..
