I did some data entry for a client and his "mailing" service prefered to have it in .dbf format (DBF4)

I've never done that before, but I did some research and asked around, widened the columns and hit "save as" & chose DBF4, but when the company got the disk, they said there were about 2000 names missing.

Anyone know what happened to them? Anyone have any experience with this??

    Help Please!!

    TIA

Did you open a copy of the file you sent and confirm the missing info?

I have had some spotty luck trying to convert xls files to dbf. I can't really explain why it happens, it just does on occasion. So if I have a choice I create dbf files from Access instead of excel.

Just a thought.....Maybe the converted file was too big for a dbf?
