I recieved the second bunch of undeliverable mail today, the first bunch was a good month or so ago. my password still works.

Someone is getting a hold of possibly the outgoing mail server, or something, and using "my email" to send these out.

anyway to stop this from happening? Its not a person because they would change the password so i no longer have access....

the emails themselves (that are in my sent folder) are spams, completely. the inbox ones are "we couldnt deliver to "blah blah blah ".

how do you protect your outgoing mail server?? how would someone get a hold of your outgoing mail server??

Unfortunately, It's likely to be nothing to do with your mail server. It's stupidly simple to forge a sending email address (think of it as a senders address on a normal letter, you can write anything there).

If you look at the headers of the undelivarables you may be able to track down the rogue server but chances are slim that you'll get your email address cleared again.

You may also wish to visit Malware & Virus removal in case you've been infected by a worm.

Please read this and post requested logs in the Malware and virus removal board.

    NOTES:
When posting the logs ensure word wrap is switched off (in notepad Uncheck Format->Word Wrap) as this makes them difficult to read.

Be aware that only Malware analysts will advise and they are often busy. Your post will be taken on a first come first served basis but it may take a while before you receive a reply.

Include a link to this thread if you can.
