Is there a bug in ZA. I installed the free version 3.7.908 and it wouldn't let Net Zero come up and slows my pc down to a crawl; Sygate does the same thing. Also, at booting, they both would not come up themselves and kill some applications in the process.
    Any idea out there?

    GBoss--
    1) Specific to NetZero, have you set ZA Control Center|Programs tab to deny NetZero access to the Internet (red X in Internet--Allow Access line)? If yes change to green check. (I presume you want Net Zero to access the Net.)

    2) General slow down. Turn off or at least lower the Privacy Control settings.

    3) I have no experience with Sygate's firewall, so do not know if the same type of settings apply. Suspect it might be best to run either ZA or Sygate.

    4) "at booting, they both would not come up themselves and kill some applications in the process." Not sure I understand--specially the "not ".

    5) "Memory: 187mb" Presume you are talking about RAM. That is pretty small. Maybe ZA needs more. On the other hand 187mb RAM sounds incorrect.

    Hello jim and GBoss,

ZA free doesn't have privacy options and neither does Sygate free (I'm assuming here that this is the free version of Sygate).

The ZA version doesn't sound right either.

Parsing the post, there is a good chance that GBoss is running them together, it sure sounds that way.

    Regards - charles

    It sure does.
GBoss, if you have both ZA and Sygate running at startup, you should disable one of them.
