Zipzappromos.com? Waypointcash.com? What are these? What to do?

I came acrossed this forum through a google search of "zipzappromos ". I was intrigued, to say the least, to find that there was such a forum. I read through someone else's thread who has the problem with zipzappromos.com popping up randomly. I'd appreciate help with this. However, there has been another window that says "www.waypointcash.com" and it's aggravating me very much. May I please have elation from these annoyances? It would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, welcome to the boards. What you have will take a few steps to remove.
Go get the Killbox, Reg Lite, and the List Installed Programs downloads.

With all internet browsers and windows explorer windows closed, rescan with HJT and remove these entries.

Run the killbox and copy/paste the following into 'file to be deleted'.

C:\WINDOWS\ipunpqig.exe

Select to 'delete on reboot' and then click on the red circle with the X.
Reboot, and then delete this folder.
C:\Program Files\ISTsvc

Then run the 'list installed programs' file. It is a script file. Post it's log on here, along with a new HJT log.

Run RegLite, and do a search for "xhskjmp ", and post back what it finds, but do not do anything with it yet.
Go ahead and try to uninstall Instant Access, and ISTsvc, if possible.
The good news is that nothing new has shown up in the log. There is one more bad item, but a good removal is based on what the Reglite search brings up.

Copy the quote box below to a blank notepad. Make sure the formatting stays the same. Save it to your desktop as rem.reg, being sure to change the Save As Type to All Files (*.*)

Right click My Computer and choose properties. On system restore tab, check the box to turn off. OK out.

Either reboot and repeatedly tap F8 to enable the start menu, then select safe mode, or go to start>run and type msconfig, hit enter. On the boot.ini tab, check the box next to /safeboot and click OK. Click yes to restart. This will restart your computer in safe mode. Logon to your user account.

Double click the reg file, allowing it to merge to the registry.

Click start>run and type cmd, hit enter.
In the command window, type del C:\windows\system32\deopavlh.exe or save the command to text and copy/paste it, then hit enter.
Then do del C:\windows\system32\EGDACCESS_1058.dll

Do a file search for EGDACCESS.inf and delete.

Empty the contents of C:\Windows\Temp, C:\Windows\Prefetch.
Open My Computer, right click Local disk C: and choose properties, then disk cleanup. Check all boxes except compress old files and click OK.


If you used msconfig, uncheck the /safeboot box and click ok to reboot. Upon reboot you will be greeted with a message window from the System Configuration Utility. Check the box not to use and don't show, then click OK. If you used F8, just reboot back into Windows.

Download and install SpywareBlaster. Enable all protections, check for updates and enable them too. Then download IESpyad.exe, double click to extract (it extracts to C:\IESpyad by default), open the folder, double click the ie-ads.reg file and allow it to merge into the registry.

Download and install both Spybot 1.3 and Ad-aware SE Personal 1.05 (both free) from the links in my signature. Allow Spybot to load SDHelper upon installation. Immediately check for updates to both programs. Run Spybot and fix everything it finds and prechecks (items in red). Run Ad-aware in the full scan mode, right click within the scan results and select all, then click next and allow removal. Reboot and do an online virus scan with RAV. If any files are infected, copy the results and post it here.

Glad the popups have stopped.

Open the AOL Spyware Protection app and clear the backups.

Open C:\Program Files, right click a blank space and choose new>folder. Name it HJT. Right click HijckThis.exe and choose cut. Now right click the HJT folder and choose paste. Open the folder, then HijackThis.exe and scan. Place a check next to the following entry. Close all other windows and click fix.

Open the control panel, then the Java Plug-in. It may be listed under other control panel options in the left pane, depending on the control panel view. Click the cache tab, then clear.

Configure Windows to show hidden files and folders.

Open C:\Documents and Settings\Guest\Local Settings\Temp, select all and delete.
Open C:\Documents and Settings\Guest\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5, select all and delete.
Empty the recycle bin.
If the Mom - Julie account is different than the one you're using, log off and onto that account, then empty the Java cache. Empty the recycle bin.

Reboot.

Go to the Sun Java Website and update your JRE. Current is 1.4.2_08
