Commercial data breaches are making mainstream news on a nearly daily occurrence, but do every day Americans know how these attacks actually happen? Do they know the simple steps they can take to be proactive when it comes to protecting their information? Have citizens taken the proper precautions to protect their devices? Do active Internet users put themselves into dangerous circumstances without even knowing it?

Interesting survey but it assumed that you did everything in the questionaire. There was no option for never do what was asked. Neil.

I do not use social media(i.e. Facebook, Twitter etc.). So how do I answer those questions.

Congrats Doc. I failed I think. Although all my teachers told me I didn't pay attention in class and lacked imagination.

Before there was child abuse there was a thing called discipline. You know the paddle detention. So I didn't readily offer a response to certain things.

The very reason for my answer in my Post. If you have no reason to use certain media - why get penalised for not answering?
Recently at our Medical Centre, I duly arrived for an appointment and within a couple of minutes of sitting down in the Reception area I was handed a 6 page Questionaire with the usual "loaded" questions.
The preamble asked for you to take the time to answer questions about how long you waited, why were you there, who referred you to the Centre and went on with some questions being almost identical but worded slightly different.
I took the questionaire home and took the time to go through it thoroughly and made some pertinent suggestions and queries.
A few days later when passing the Medical Centre, I called in to hand back the papers and requested to see the person who designed the questionaire.

When she turned up, I pointed out to her that a sick person turning up for treatment would be disinclined to want/need to fill in forms of this nature and that asking someone how long they waited for attention (Prior to seeing the Doctor) was crass stupidity!

She agreed with my complaints and my suggestion was to mail out the forms when patients can make informed and sober judgement on the answers when not feeling stressed about ailments.

I pointed out that asking the same question two or three times worded differently was banal and probably got a perverted set of answers.
But at least you were able to say or mark N/A (not applicable).

    My daily RANT! Neil.
