    I just had a catastrophe!!

I just allowed two IE and one XP Pro update to install on my machine. Should've been flawless, but when I went back into my browser (NS7) I discovered that my "Home" had changed. Not a big issue, but it gets worse.

I then discovered that my Email messages and Address book are gone. Gone also is my AIM setup.

Please, pretty please, tell me there is a quick and easy solution!

When posting this, I also discover that some other preferences must have changed, because I'm getting messages when moving between encrypted and unencrypeted pages.

    Hi Cal,

Sounds to me like your Preferences were blown away by whatever MS did to your System, with the Critical Updates...

Create a new Profile, and then copy your Preferences (Address Book, Bookmarks, Mail, etc.) from the old Profile to the new Profile.

Let us know if you have any questions.

    Small problems remain

    Hi Ramona,

I'm 80% plus back on the air with NS. A few problems remain, most of which will just take some time, like for instance when I cmae back to this site I was no longer automatically recognized.

The biggest glitch remaining is that my address books did not 100% restore. My main address book seems to be an older version and others don't show up at all.

I've tried importing but that claims it can't find any address books. Looking for the .mab files I find them to be in two locations beside where I backed them up
    .
    \ProgramsFiles\Support.com\backup\AB\

    \Docs&Sets...\Admin...\App..Data\Moz...,\Pro...\Comcast\.....slt\

If I look at them with a file viewer, I can see that the addresses which do not show up in the Address Book selected by NS are there.

    Ideas?

    Hi Cal,

You should be able to copy all your *.mab files from your backup to your new Profile. You don't have to export/import, just a copy and paste should do it for you.
