    Hi,

    I own two original MS CDs with Windows XP Professional but they have different volume labels.

    The one CD which comes without SP 1 is labeled as follows: WXPFPP_EN

    The other CD comes with SP 1 and is named: X1APFPP_EN

    Is there a way to find out what those volume labels mean?

    Thanks,

    Ralf

    Hi Ralf!

    As far as I know;

    WXPFPP_EN stands for: Windows XP Professional Full Packaged Product English Version

    X1APFPP_EN stands for Windows XP SP1A Professional Full Packaged Product English Version

    A few links with the clues I found:

    Scroll to page six of http://www.hdavid.ch/download/windowsxpsp1.pdf

    A few more volume labels at http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=226

    If You don't read polish ...... ;) ...... scroll towards the bottom of http://xp.net.pl/art/windowsxp_sp1a_cd.html

    Well, Ralf, there are many sites in polish that seem to have a wealth of information and now we all know where to go for a translation ...... :eek: ...... !
