My problem is I have a raid setup with 2 matching drives..2 60 gigs on a stripe raid config for AV digital video.

But When I try to load XP it shows the drives on the "what drive do you want to install to page" as 2 separate drives and not has one big one ie:114.???? gigs that WinME showed when ME was installed..

Could it be that it is the old 1024 limit with having such a large amount of drive space...... because when XP reboots to start installing the files for setup........ it always pops up can't find netldr.dll file.

I install the raid driver for my card at the F6 prompt at setup so its not this.......... has anybody any ideas cos its doin my head in...

thanks in advance and this Board Rocks...

Shooting from the hip a little here but maybe a response will trigger some brain cells with others.

XP Pro or Home? There are some significant differences in the way the two behave.

Your RAID setup may not be XP friendly. Check the compatibility list to see. The fact that XP pretty well ignores the striping makes me wonder. RAID5?

Also, I remember a limitation with 2000 that may still exist with XP. The OS had to go in to the first 8Gb (I think) of the system partition in order for the OS to load properly.
