XP Taskbar

Everytime I load up the computer my taskbar freezes for 5 minutes from when the main screen comes up, the only thing I can do is right click on the desktop, I cant use any shortcuts such as Windows+E to open My Computer or open any programs.

I uninstalled Q811493 as its garbage. Is there any other M$ security patches that I can uninstall to stop this happening?

Nothing to do with my PC spec as Im on a 1.67ghz with 512ddr.

You may want to try the bootvis.exe tool to speed loading at startup. Be sure your Task Scheduler service is running in order to use the bootvis optimization feature.

Check your Event Viewer to see if any startups are failing.

Check your service configuration to be sure that services that run habitually are not set to "manual ". Set them to "automatic ".

Go to Start > Run and type: msconfig to see what programs are loading at startup and eliminate unnecessary ones.

Chkdsk and Defragment.
