XP Task Bar Right Hand Bottom

    At one time I had an icon down by the clock that looked like a two computers. When I doubled clicked the icon it gave the connection speed to the internet. The icon disappeared.
    How do I get this icon back on the task bar?

    Go to Control Panel, Network Connections. Right click on the entry for your connection, go to Properties.

    Check the box for "Show icon in notification area when connected. "

    If Network Conections is on the Start menu, just click on it there, then right click, Properties, etc.

    Many thanks to Miz & Arie. Restored icon & now have site for customizing XP. WOW what I do not know.
