My son's Toshiba Satellite Tablet PC (circa 2006) won't boot. He took it to a local trusted mom & pop computer shop and they want to re-install the operating system. But...he can't find the install disc that came with the computer. Is there a way to track down the registration key or XP Tablet PC OS? He's a college student who is now paying the price for not keeping up with his stuff! Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!

some manufacturers like asus like to keep things a little bizzare. Theyre giving you an image cd instead of a regular windows cd making the product key useless. lol.

laptop like asus have built-in os installations (and to me, when i purchased a new laptop in asus, the product key and the cd is useless)

if you know you have a built in os, in asus it's F10, find out what's the button for that partition to be accessible.

this is where the manuals come in handy. i read it in the laptop's manual

    other option

    call Toshiba about the cd.
