XP stops loading sometimes

    When starting XP, after logging in, my computer will act like it is continuing to log in, but just sits there with a blue screen. This will last 4-5 minutes. I can shut it down and it eventually will work the right way.

    Intermitten problems like this are hard to solve...Does it maybe happen when you have a USB device plugged in?

    There are 2-3 USB devices connected - mouse, keyboard for sure. The computer is not in front of me so I am not sure of any others. I will try it with them disconnected and see if I can get the problem to "happen" again.
